Amitabh Bachchan praises Oscar winners

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan may be busy shooting films but that did not stop him from praising the latest Indian heroes A.R. Rahman and Resul Pookutty. He took time to send across his greetings to them through his blog bigb.bigadda.com for bringing home the elusive Oscars.

"I learn of the great achievements of our Indian technicians and music directors at the Oscars. My warmest and heartiest congratulations to A.R. Rahman and Resul for winning recognition in music and sound and to Gulzar for co assisting Rahman in the lyric category. International recognition for Indian film talent on one of the most well known and popular forums is the happiest day for Indians and the Industry. The journey of Indian Cinema has been phenomenal," wrote the Big B.

Well, it may be recalled that Amitabh once received lots of flaks for criticising Slumdog Millionaire through his blog. He later apologised for the piece of article. Now, he has thrown his arms wide open to congratulate the Indians, who had won the coveted Oscars. Interestingly, the film has special mention of him including a clip from one of his films.
