Deepika feels strongly for every sport (not just badminton) and thinks that the pride you take in your nation is reflected in the laurels you take back home for it like if you get 20 gold medals for India it shows how much you love it. So why not encourage sports persons to do their best for India?"

In Bangalore, it will be nice to get people together to run and help the various causes associated with the marathon.
I am going down next week to announce and promote the marathon. I have always had a sports connection in lots of ways since childhood and Bangalore is my home city. Also I have always promoted fitness and health."
