This
Friday
will
witness
the
release
of
Rakeysh
Omprakash
Mehra's
much
awaited
Delhi-6,
his
next
project
after
the
iconic
super-hit,
Rang
De
Basanti.
The
Abhishek
Bachchan,
Sonam
Kapoor,
Rishi
Kapoor
and
Waheeda
Rahman
starrer
has
been
rated
as
a
social
by
the
CBFC
(Central
Board
of
Film
Certification),
and
given
a
UA
certificate
(C.C.
NO.
CIL/2/17/2009)
with
a
length
of
3872.29
metres
in
8
reels,
with
cuts
in
sound
only.
Reportedly,
the
film
is
2
hours
18
minutes
long.
The
film
trade
which
was
going
through
a
dry
spell,
with
delayed/small
projects,
saw
a
resurrection
of
sorts
with
the
release
of
Shahrukh
Khan's
Billu,
and
Delhi-6
is
expected
to
carry
forward
the
good
phase
and
come
up
trumps
at
the
ticket
window.
More
so
as
there
are
no
major
films
releasing
after
this
Friday,
and
Delhi-6
is
bound
to
enjoy
an
uninterrupted
run,
without
facing
much
opposition.
The
only
major
roadblock
is
likely
to
be
the
upcoming
IPL
Twenty20
cricket
matches.
