ghajini,
which
was
released
on
the
evening
of
24th
December,
completes
50
days
at
the
box
office.
Though
the
film
was
earlier
supposed
to
arrive
on
limited
paid
previews
(which
are
generally
restricted
to
the
last
show
of
the
day
at
select
multiplexes
in
metros),
such
high
was
the
euphoria
around
the
Aamir
Khan
starrer
that
number
of
such
shows
was
increased.
Ultimately,
the
number
increased
to
such
an
extent
that
paid
previews
began
early
in
the
evening
itself,
hence
officially
making
Wednesday
as
the
day
of
arrival
for
the
film.
As
the
film
enters
its
8th
week
tomorrow,
ghajini
continues
to
do
quite
well
in
theaters,
something
which
is
reflected
in
the
box
office
figures
which
continue
to
talk
the
language
of
crores.
Bringing
in
1
crore
even
in
it's
sixth
week,
the
film
stood
at
114
crores
at
the
end
of
six
weeks
and
should
be
closer
to
the
115
crore
mark
at
the
end
of
its
theatrical
run.
All
eyes
are
now
set
on
Aamir
Khan's
next
major
release
3
Idiots
which
arrives
in
his
patented
slot
now,
Christmas,
especially
after
the
superb
success
of
first
Taare
Zameen
Par
(2007)
and
now
ghajini
(2008)
which
arrived
in
the
same
festive
season.
While
Dhobhi
Ghaat
too
will
arrive
before
3
Idiots,
it
isn't
quite
a
bona
fide
Aamir
Khan
film
since
other
youngsters
are
expected
to
dominate
the
screen
space.
On
the
other
hand,
Rab
Ne
Bana
Di
Jodi
has
done
excellently
for
itself
in
its
nine
week
running.
Entering
its
10th
week
tomorrow,
the
film
will
end
around
87
crores
in
an
overall
run.
The
film
is
far
lesser
expensive
than
last
few
Shahrukh
Khan
starrers
like
Om
Shanti
Om,
Chak
De
India
and
Don
–
The
Chase
Begins
Again
and
has
still
done
far
better
business.
Looking
at
the
results,
this
film
too
deserves
an
All
Time
Blockbuster
considering
the
relatively
lower
cost
that
it
has
been
made.
