The much-hyped film Kaminey starring Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra has run into trouble with the censor board coming down heavily on it. What hurts director Vishal Bharadwaj is that his film has been given an A certificate for its heavy dose of violence.
Sources said that the censor board suggested major cuts, as it contained lots of violence. Vishal was neither ready to chop the film nor wanted an A certificate. So, it was sent to the revising committee, where Sharmila Tagore, the Chairperson, along with the panel members watched it. They also came to the conclusion that it should be issued an A certificate.
Now, Vishal has no other way out. Of course he can approach the tribunal or seek legal help.
