Katrina snatches Barbie from Aishwarya

It was reported that Mattel Toys had approached Aishwarya Bachchan (Salman's ex-girlfriend) to be the face of Barbie dolls for its 50 years celebration. It was also reported that Aishwarya had described how she would like the doll to look. However, it turned out that Katrina Kaif, present girlfriend of Salman Khan, has been chosen to adorn the Barbie dolls.

It took 6 long months of negotiation before Katrina was chosen for the 50-year celebration of Barbie. Katrina said that it was a fun honour and flattering to be the Barbie girl, as she grew up playing with it. At the Lakme Fashion Week, she walked the ramp wearing the small pink dress that 'Katrina Barbie' would wear from September.

The look and dress of the doll were planned in collaboration with Katrina. She revealed that she would be dressed like the way the Barbie has been dressed all over the world unlike the general believe that her Barbie would have Indian look. She added that it feels great to be liked by kids.

Katrina has now joined the likes of Hollywood divas Beyonce Knowles, Elizabeth Taylor and Diana Ross, who have Barbie dolls based on their looks.
