Mumbai,
(ANI):
Model-turned
actress
Malaika
Arora
Khan
walked
the
ramp
sporting
the
creations
of
the
renowned
designer
Mandira
Wirk
at
the
ongoing
Lakme
Fashion
Week.
Khan
showcasing
Mandira's
feminine
collection
stole
the
show.
"The
colours
are
very
girly,
very
flirtish
and
very
lady-like
as
Mandira
would
say.
When
she
asked
what
I
would
like
to
wear
as
a
showstopper,
I
said,
a
long
big
gown
would
be
nicer.
Essentially
the
style,
the
silhouettes
are
all
part
of
her
Summer
2010
Spring
Summer
collection," said
Malaika.
The
fashion
pageant
started
with
a
perfect
semi-casual
contemporary
theme,
but
later
showcased
something
light,
feminine
and
very
summery
this
time.
"The
colour
patterns,
we
have
used
are
nudes,
ivory,
beiges
and
a
hint
of
coral
which
Malaika
is
wearing.
The
fabrics
which
we
have
used
are
transparency
and
light
weighed.
We
have
cotton,
cotton
Lycra,
organza,
chiffon
and
the
silhouettes.
We
have
worked
on
keeping
summer
in
mind,"
said
Wirk.
Malaika's
husband
Arbaaz
Khan,
Pooja
Bedi,
Manisha
Lamba,
Sophie,
Gul
Panag
and
Mandira
Bedi
were
among
the
prominent
celebrities
who
watched
the
show
with
utmost
curiosity.
Designer
Tarun
Tahiliani
will
present
his
creations
to
ring
the
'curtains
down' to
this
famed
event.
