Raima Sen rejected in a reality show!

Amongst the many serious actresses to make a mark in Bollywood during the recent times, one surname stands out tall. Yes, its Sen. Be it the superbly talented Konkona Sen, the critically acclaimed Nandana Sen, beautiful ex- Miss Universe Sushmita Sen and yes, the latest, the petite, ethnic beauty , Raima Sen, who wowed the audiences with outstanding performances in films like Godmother, Chokher Bali, Parineeta, Honeymoon Travels, Manorma Six Feet Under etc.

Coming back to our headlines, our patrons may be shocked to read that such a talented actress like Raima could be rejected by judges and that too during a reality show?

Well, no cause for concern as we are merely referring to a very interesting scene from Raima's upcoming Mere Khwabon Mein Jo Aaye, where she plays an aspiring singer, who appears in a music competition, which is being judged (on screen) by the likes of Javed Akhtar, Alka Yagnik and Lalit Pandit. Says Raima, 'The scene was very realistic for me because I really respect all the three judges. I was very happy that it turned out so well.'

The above mentioned names need no introduction as both Javed Akhtar and Alka Yagnik are iconic names of the industry and Lalit Pandit is from the erstwhile numero uno Jatin-Lalit duo. In fact they in turn are the lyricist, singer and music director of the mellifluous album of MKMJA, which relies a lot on music at its theme. And interestingly all of them play cameos in the much awaited February 6 release!
