Salman celebrates birthday by writing a blog

Salman had two bashes -- first with the KHANdaan and the second with friends and associates. He also launched an initiative on his blog where people can post stories of courage or veerta On Saturday night, Salman brought in his 44th birthday with close family -- his parents, Salim and Salma, Helen, brothers Arbaaz and Sohail and their wives, Malaika and Seema at their Panvel farmhouse. Only close friends Sajid Nadiadwala and Katrina Kaif were not there. While Sajid left for USA for a working holiday with his family, Katrina is spending her Christmas and New Year's in London with her family.

Salman has always done things differently from most stars. On his birthday, "Salman launched an initiative on his blog veerblogs.erosentertainment.com (the blog will go online today) where he has asked for people all over India to send stories on their bravery and courage.

These will be common men who are real-life heroes who have a story to tell. Salman is planning to felicitate them after calling them to Mumbai", Veer producer Vijay Galani informs us, and adds, "All the stories have to be connected to a brave feat in real life. We will hold a contest on bravery or veerta. We are still working out the details."

Yesterday, Salman had a huge birthday party at his Panvel farmhouse which his producer, director and other friends and associates connected to the film industry, attended. Galani confirms, "Yes I was there. It was one of the biggest parties this year."
