Delhi-6
has
been
released
and
Sonam
Kapoor,
despite
her
limited
screen
time
in
the
film,
is
getting
decent
appreciation
coming
her
way
for
a
natural
act.
While
her
director
Rakeysh
Omprakash
Mehra
must
have
been
happy
with
the
feedback
coming
the
way
of
his
leading
lady,
Sonam
Kapoor
makes
a
startling
revelation
about
her
presence
in
the
film.
In
a
chat
show
on
B4U,
she
declares
that
if
Rakeysh
had
his
way,
Sonam
may
not
have
been
a
part
of
the
film.
Recalls
Sonam,
''
was
quite
reluctant
to
cast
me
in
the
film.''
Though
more
details
would
be
there
for
everyone's
consumption
on
the
show,
Sonam
admits
that
the
portrayal
of
a
middle
class
girl
in
the
film
was
a
challenge
as
it
was
completely
contrary
to
her
real
life
image.
Daughter
of
Anil
Kapoor
and
Sunita
Kapoor,
Sonam
Kapoor
has
made
her
presence
felt
in
the
industry
after
Saawariya
and
now
Delhi-6.
She
continues
to
maintain
that
working
under
Sanjay
Leela
Bhansali
had
put
her
on
a
high
scale
with
mammoth
expectations.
Meanwhile,
she
has
great
things
to
say
about
her
current
director
Rakeysh
Omprakash
Mehra
as
well,
''Mr.
Mehra
is
a
visionary
and
an
idealistic
person;
I
was
very
comfortable
working
with
him.''
She
also
claims
to
have
shared
a
good
connection
with
her
co-star
in
the
film,
Abhishek
Bachchan.
''I
could
connect
with
him
as
an
equal
and
yet
he
advised
as
well
as
helped
me
when
I
got
stuck.
We
share
a
great
rapport.''
Vulnerable,
yet
independent
and
secure,
she
shares
a
very
open
and
easy
relation
with
her
father.
''I
am
extremely
proud
of
his
achievements
and
the
way
my
parents
have
brought
me
up.''
