Aishwarya's saree a rage at Cannes

Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Bachchan has attended many international film festivals but she usually ends up receiving criticism for her choice of outfits for the red carpet. She has been criticised this time too for wearing western outfits at the on-going Cannes Film Festival, until she appeared in a saree designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

Well-known Indian designer Ritu Kumar, who had come down heavily on Ash's outfits, is happy that the former Miss World wore a saree at Cannes. She thinks that the outfit was good and glamorous. Designer Namrata Joshipura also said that Ash looked gorgeous and refreshing in saree.

Ash wore an outfit by Lebanese designer Elie Saab"s Spring collection for the festival opening. She chose a black Armani Prive strapless number on the second day and a pink Gucci gown on the third day. However, she surprised many by coming for the premiere of Outrage in saree. She looked gorgeous with her hubby Abhishek Bachchan by her side.

Let's hope Ash wears saree more often to film festivals!
