The
angry
young
man
of
1970s
is
back
in
2010.
Amitabh
Bachchan
prepares
to
perform
a
hardcore
action
stunts
in
his
upcoming
movie
Budda.
Last
time
Big
B
was
seen
doing
full
fledged
action
in
the
movie
Family
-
Ties
Of
Blood,
in
which
he
played
a
gangster
Viren
Sahi.
With
Budda,
Big
B
will
be
back
to
his
underworld
territory
again
as
he
did
in
Don
in
1978.
The
film
will
be
produced
by
Bachchan"s
AB
Corp.
It
will
be
helmed
by
Puri
Jagannadh,
whose
2006
hit
Telugu
film
Pokiri
was
the
inspiration
behind
Salman
Khan"s
action
movie
Wanted.
According
a
source
close
to
the
film,
“Amitabh
Bachchan
will
be
playing
an
underworld
don,
who
is
a
very
angry
old
man.
This
character
is
in
line
of
his
role
in
the
movie
Aakhree
Raasta.
But
his
character
in
Budda
gets
angry
at
the
slightest
provocation".
The
source
adds,
“You
can
imagine
Big
B
doing
some
strong
action
scenes
like
Salman
Khan
did
in
Wanted".
As
per
the
source,
it
was
Puri,
who
wanted
to
represent
Amitabh
in
that
role
so
that
people
can
refresh
their
memory
with
some
of
his
old
action
hits.
Budda
is
said
to
be
an
original
script
by
Puri
unlike
other
remade
or
inspired
action
movies.
Sonu
Sood
has
been
roped
in
to
play
the
second
lead
in
the
movie.
Surprisingly,
Abhishek
Bachchan
is
not
signed
even
though
their
last
film
together
from
the
same
production
house
did
very
well.
The
source
further
informs,
“Sonu
will
be
playing
a
police
officer
in
Budda
and
the
story
will
mainly
deal
with
these
two
characters".
Filmmaker
Ram
Gopal
Verma,
who
happens
to
be
a
common
friend
of
Big
B
and
Puri,
is
also
involved
with
the
project
as
the
creative
producer.
Budda
is
likely
to
go
on
floors
later
this
October
and
it
will
be
extensively
shot
in
Mumbai.
