Amitabh and Sridevi to act together for R Balki

Director R Balki of Cheeni Kum and Paa has probably developed a bond with the megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who starred in both of his films. Balki is now planning another project with Big B and he is thinking to sign either once Bollywood ruling queen Sridevi or Hollywood legend Meryl Streep opposite him.

The super-success of Paa has inspired Balki to come up with some exceptional projects now his next project is almost complete and is likely to be equally outstanding. Meryl or Sridevi will be seen playing the romantic lead of Amitabh Bachchan in this movie. But Balki is yet to approach the two actresses concerned.

A source was quoted saying that Balki is now working on two scripts of which one will be a cross-cultural love story. The second project is based on a 'desi" romance between two people, who have supposedly crossed the 'so called" permissible age of romance. The director would go for Sridevi if Meryl Streep does not take up the project, added the source.

On being asked whether it would be tough for him to get a big international star like Meryl for his film, Balki retorted saying that the issue is least his worries and he is more concerned to justify the casting with script. Big B seemed to be clueless about this project. He was quoted stating that Balki had not yet approached him about this project but they are going to meet soon to discuss on it.
