Bachchans going to London Asian Film Festival

The Bachchan family boycotted the recent 55th Filmfare Awards in protest against the report by Mumbai Mirror of Times Group that Aishwarya Bachchan couldn't bear child due to stomach tuberculosis but they are heading off to the 12th London Asian Film Festival beginning Friday.

Jaya Bachchan will be honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the festival. Her son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya will also accompany her.

The festival will begin with a British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) interview with Abhishek. Then Jaya Bachchan will be conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award at a gala dinner at the Park Lane Sheraton Hotel for her contribution to cinema.

Jaya Bachchan's film Lovesongs directed by Jayabrato Chatterjee will be premiered at the event. Bollywood films like Well Done Abba, Life Moves On, Dostana, Guru and Chak De! India will be screened will also be screened at the festival.
