Norway
doesn"t
have
much
of
a
fan-following
for
Bollywood
stars.
But
Salman
Khan
is
an
exception.
He
apparently
had
the
Indian
population
laying
siege
around
the
hotel
where
Salman
Khan
had
gone
along
with
his
Dabangg
co-star
Sonakshi
Sinha.
Brother
Sohail
Khan
had
also
accompanied
them
for
a
Bollwood
Fest
where
Dabangg
was
the
inaugural
film.
Says
Sohail,
“You"re
right.
Norway
doesn"t
have
that
large
an
Indian
population.
But
Salman
had
done
a
live
concert
there
two
years
ago.
And
last
year
we
had
gone
there
with
our
film
Heroes.
I
guess
the
locals
liked
what
they
saw."
Fairly
large
groups
of
Indian
fans
gathered
around
the
Thon
hotel
in
Oslo
where
Salman
was
stationed.
They
apparently
kept
vigil
all
night
for
a
glimpse
of
the
star
and
got
progressively
restless
until
Salman
finally
came
out
on
the
balcony
to
wave
to
them.
That
wasn"t
the
end
of
the
story.
After
the
fans
saw
him
once
they
clamoured
in
the
stillness
of
the
night
for
him
to
give
them
a
dekko
once
again,
then
again,
and
again…
It
came
to
a
point
where
the
hotel"s
manager
had
to
intervene
and
gently
remind
Salman
that
the
other
guests
in
the
hotel
were
getting
disturbed
by
the
nocturnal
fan
frenzy.
Finally
Salman
had
to
go
with
folded
hands
and
request
the
fans
to
disperse.
Sohail
confirms
this
incident
.
“Like
I
said
Salman"s
fans
in
Norway
are
a
staunch
hardcore
group." Incidentally
Sohail
will
now
be
taking
time
off
to
finish
his
flying
lessons.
Says
Sohail,
“I
was
halfway
through
my
training
to
become
a
licensed
pilot
when
Dabangg
took
off.
I
discontinued
my
flying
to
support
Salman
and
Arbaaz.
Now
I"m
going
back
in
October
to
finish
my
interrupted
course.
I
will
then
have
an
alternative
career
to
fall
back
on."
