A couple of days ago while shooting for Yamla Pagla Deewana in Punjab with his sons Sunny and Bobby Deol, Dharmendra suffered heart attack. He was rushed to the hospital after he complained of feeling uneasy.

At first director Samir Karnik thought that the food didn"t go down well with the veteran actor. However, Dharmendra felt that it was important to get a check-up done.

The Patiala doctors felt that he should be taken to a better hospital in Chandigarh. Samir said that the actor is alright now. He stated that the actor has resumed shooting even though everyone asked him to take rest. He also joked that the actor has more energy than everyone on the set put together.

Sunny Deol stated that Dharmendra had only gone to the hospital for a check up. Meanwhile, Hema Malini, his wife, was in Haridwar for a dance performance when she found out that her husband was having health problem.

She admited to calling him up to ask if he was hiding something. She calmed down only when he assured her that he was fine. She revealed that she would pray for his long life and was glad that he got a good check-up done since it"s important to stay cautious at his age.
