Farhan Akhtar inspired by new directors

Director turned actor Farhan Akhtar has worked under relatively new directors as an actor. And every time he worked these directors he has been left inspired and nostalgic about his directorial days. Even in his latest outing Karthik Calling Karthik, Farhan is working with a new director Vijay Lalwani, who reminds him of his young directorial days.

Being a director himself, Farhan Akhtar loves to see younger directors" passion and says, “So far, I have worked with new directors and each time I learned that as a director you always need to be passionate and need to have fire in the belly, even if it"s your last project."

He continues, “I think that is the biggest thing that I have learned from the host of new directors. And Vijay Lalwani has also brought the same kind of fire and passion in the project Karthik Calling Karthik."

Karthik Calling Karthik is a romantic-thriller which also stars Deepika Padukone in the lead. The film is slated to release on 26th Feb, 2010.
