Director
Rohit
Shetty
was
a
happy
man
this
Diwali,
as
his
festive
release
Golmaal
3
did
well
at
the
box
office.
However,
the
happy
days
seems
to
be
over,
as
the
producers
of
the
film
have
been
served
with
a
legal
notice
by
the
Indian
Stammering
Association
(TISA)
for
allegedly
making
fun
of
people
who
stammer.
The
trailers
of
the
movie
also
showed
the
character
of
Shreyas
Talpade
stammering
while
his
friends
making
fun
of
him.
But,
there
was
no
objection
from
any
organization
at
that
point
of
time.
Now,
as
the
movie
has
succeeded
at
the
Box
office,
TISA
has
sent
a
legal
notice.
The
association
wants
the
makers
of
the
film
to
delete
the
scenes
where
Talpade"s
character
has
been
shown
stammering,
alleging
that
the
film
has
made
fun
of
stammering
people.
It
will
be
tough
for
the
producers
to
fulfill
the
demand
because
the
film
has
already
successfully
completed
more
than
a
week
in
the
theaters.
According
to
a
source,
the
producers
will
have
to
respond
to
the
notice
before
December
14
as
ordered
by
the
Uttarakhand
court.
The
news
was
confirmed
by
Shri
Astavinayaka
Cinevision
spokesperson,
who
added
that
their
legal
department
is
studying
the
matter.
However,
they
said
that
their
intention
was
never
to
hurt
anyone
with
physical
disability
of
any
kind.
Shreyas
Talpade,
whose
character
stammers
in
the
film,
has
not
taken
the
issue
easily.
He
gave
a
very
stern
reaction
on
this
legal
notice.
The
actor
said
that
it
was
just
a
character
and
was
not
pointed
to
anyone
in
particular.
He
raised
a
very
crucial
question
by
asking
the
association
why
they
consider
the
disabled
person
different
from
others
when
the
film
is
not
doing
it.
He
also
mentioned
the
constraints
coming
on
the
way
of
making
a
film.
Shreyas
said
that
if
such
issues
keep
arising,
then
someday
the
filmmakers
will
just
be
left
with
one
option
and
that
is
to
make
silent
films.
Well,
we
agree
with
Shreyas
because
a
new
trend
has
started
these
days
where
people
start
creating
problems
or
raising
problems
whenever
a
film
becomes
successful.
This
has
become
an
easy
way
to
be
in
the
limelight!
