Salman's fans humble efforts to help Desai on his small plea touched the actor's heart. He tweeted saying that he wanted people to donate from whatever extra they have rather than giving away the entire money. He requested them not to get carried away by his appeal.

The Dabangg star informed through his tweets that Professor Sandeep Desai has been travelling between Churchgate and Goregaon railway stations to collect funds for a partly built English medium school in Ratnagiri.
