Bollywood
celebrity
and
Rajasthan
Royals
co-owner
Shilpa
Shetty
has
said
that
the
non-inclusion
of
Pakistani
players
in
IPL
was
by
their
availability
and
not
nationality.
She
made
it
clear
that
she
didn't
want
to
take
risk
by
selecting
pakistani
players.
Shilpa
Shetty
at
a
function
organized
by
the
Rajasthan
Royals
said
"The
decision
on
Pak
players
was
never
on
nationality,
it
was
always
on
availability.
And
by
availability
I
don't
mean
dates
on
a
diary.
I'm
talking
about
whether
they'll
be
available
in
India
for
us
to
use
them.
We
didn't
want
to
take
risk,"
.No
Pakistani
player
was
bought
by
the
eight
IPL
teams
during
an
auction
for
the
third
edition
of
the
competition
Shilpa
Shetty
recently
supported
Shahrukh
Khan
and
she
described
it
as
a
unfortunate,
that
the
actor
was
being
targeted
for
expressing
his
opinion.
she
says
these
controversy
has
affected
the
spirit
of
the
game.
"What
is
great
about
IPL
is
that
when
a
wicket
falls,
we
see
a
Pakistani
and
Indian
player
hug
each
other
and
see
an
Australian
and
South
African
do
a
high-five,
I
miss
that.
These
controversies
have
take
away
the
spirit
of
the
game," Shipa
adds.
