subhash ghai to pay his stars in instalments

If what the Showman subhash ghai has in mind as a payment structure for the stars is implemented we will soon see a radical change in the economics of filmmaking.

Having burnt his fingers repeatedly coping with stars" pay packages, Ghai plans to pay his stars in instalments.

Says Ghai, “Now I"ve to plan my films differently. Actors will be paid phase-wise, in instalments after shooting, dubbing, publicity, etc. I don"t want to go through this kind of harassment again. I suggest every actor try producing a film at least once. In fact many stars have tried it and burnt their fingers."

And yes, subhash ghai won"t produce or finance films for outside filmmakers anymore. He is now working on his next directorial venture. “I"m currently scripting it. All I can tell you at the moment is, it"d be an entertaining film."
