Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi recently hit the headlines for his engagement to Priyanka Alva. He is in the news again, and this time for a wrong reason. The Delhi High Court has issued notice to him and his Delhi-based firm Yashi Multimedia Private Limited following a recovery suit filed by Mehta Entertainment company based in Mumbai.

A court notice has been issued to Vivek, his dad Suresh Oberoi and sister Meghna Oberoi by Justice S. Ravindra Bhat. In the suit, Mehta Entertainment has sought Rs.4.86 crore as damages. The suit stated that Vivek and his company had taken an advance of Rs. 1 lakh from Mehta Entertainment to perform at a stage show in Canada and US in 2003 but failed to perform citing bad health..

The entertainment company has finally approched the Delhi High Court after the Oberois failed to respond to the several legal notices sent to them to return the said amount. Now the court has asked the Oberois to file their replies by November 1.
