The
crew
of
the
movie
Aazaan,
which
is
slated
to
release
on
October
14,
is
now
facing
the
wrath
of
the
Samajwadi
Party
for
hurting
the
sentiments
of
Muslims.
The
party
is
seeking
an
FIR
against
director
Prashant
Chadha,
producer
MR
Shahjahan,
hero
Sachiin
Joshi
and
heroine
Candice
Boucher
under
the
IPC
section
295A.
Farooq
Ghoshi,
the
city
vice
president
of
the
Samajwadi
Party,
has
written
a
complaint
to
Nirmal
Nagar
police
station.
In
his
complaint
he
stated,
"An
FIR
should
be
registered
against
the
director,
producer
and
lead
actors
under
the
IPC
section
295A
(deliberate
and
malicious
acts,
intended
to
outrage
religious
feelings
or
any
class
by
insulting
its
religion
or
religious
beliefs)."
"Aazaan
is
Islamic
invitation
to
prayers.
It
is
a
sacred
word,
which
should
not
have
been
used
for
film's
title
that
has
been
categorised
as
'A'
grade
cinema
by
Censor
Board
and
the
film's
story
talks
of
terrorism.
This
is
hurting
the
sentiments
of
Muslim
community," the
PTI
quotes
Ghoshi
as
saying.
However,
PS
Bagade,
the
senior
police
inspector
in
Nirmal
Nagar
police
station,
has
accepted
Farooq
Ghoshi's
complaint
and
waiting
for
legal
opinion
to
take
necessary
action
against
Aazaan
bosses.
Bagade
told
PTI,
"We
have
taken
note
of
the
complaint
and
are
seeking
a
legal
opinion
to
ascertain
whether
an
FIR
could
be
registered
against
them
or
not."
