Abhishek's Players release postponed to January 6

Director Abbas-Mustan's upcoming movie Players, which features Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, Bobby Deol, Sonam Kapoor and Neil Nitin Mukesh in the leads, is releasing on January 6, 2012. The much-awaited action thriller was to hit the screens on 9 December with Agent Vinod and Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, but the film has now been pushed to early January in 2012.

Bollywood film Players is an official remake of the Hollywood crime thriller The Italian Job, which revolves around the story of six thieves, who plan to pull off the heist of their lives by creating Los Angeles' largest ever traffic jam. On his Twitter page, Abhishek Bachchan wrote, “Players releases on the 6th of January 2012."

However, the filming of Players started on November 9, 2010 and has been shot throughout India, New Zealand and Russia. The shooting took place in Goa, New Zealand's Wellington and Auckland earlier in 2011, and a long schedule was also shot in Siberia, St Petersburg and other locations in Russia. It also stars Omi Vaidya and Sikander Kher in pivotal roles.
