After Ra.One, now Desi Boyz makers facing charges of plagiarism

Is 2011, an unlucky year for Bollywood's big releases? After the Ra.one makers got slammed by a television producer over plagiarism issue, it's now the turn of much-awaited Akshay Kumar-John Abraham starrer Desi Boyz that got stuck in fraud case.

A Latur-based script writer and director Shyam Devkatte filed a petition against Rohit Dhawan"s (David Dhawan"s son) directorial debut Desi Boyz alleging that he had registered the film titled Desi Boys with the Film Writers" Association (FWA) in September 2009.

He had sought criminal action accusing Dhawan of violating the copyright act. Devkatte lodged a complaint at the Amboli police station on October 14. On the same day, Devkatte also filed a private complaint before a metropolitan magistrate"s court at Andheri under the Copyright Act.

Dhawan"s Desi Boyz, starring Akshay Kumar, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone is slated for release on November 25.
