Agneepath overseas distribution rights acquired by Eros

Dharma Productions' upcoming movie Agneepath, which is set to release next year, is one of most anticipated movies of 2012. The distribution rights of the film had a lot of competition in the market. Today, Eros International, which has acquired overseas rights, announced that it will release it in the international markets.

In his press address, Pranab Kapadia, President of Marketing and Distribution, Eros International announced the deal. Pranab said, “Agneepath marks the first of the big ticket releases next year and Eros is excited about associating with Dharma Productions to present this thrilling action film on a global platform."

Pranab Kapadia added, “Audiences are looking forward to Hrithik Roshan's portrayal of the legendary Vijay Dinanath Chouhan, made famous by Amitabh Bachchan while Sanjay Dutt's villainous look has stirred up much curiosity. The promos have evoked very good reactions and we are anticipating a very encouraging response to the film."

Meanwhile, Apoorva Mehta, the CEO of Dharma Productions, also confirmed the news. Apoorva said, “We are delighted that Dharma Productions is collaborating with a leading studio like Eros. We hope this coming together for the first time helps both of us to take a giant leap in the coming years."
