will
donate
Rs
2
crores
to
the
Ice
Hockey
Association
Of
India
(IHAOI).
His
home
production
is
based
on
the
sport
of
ice
hockey.
In
a
bid
to
promote
the
film,
the
Bollywood
star
has
come
forward
to
encourage
the
sport
in
the
country.
According
to
reports,
Speedy
Singhs
producers
Akshay
Kumar
and
Paul
Gross
have
decided
to
donate
the
amount
of
Rs
2
crore
to
the
IHAOI
in
New
Delhi,
which
is
the
national
body
coordinating
ice
hockey
in
India
under
the
supervision
of
the
International
Ice
Hockey
Federation.
The
makers
of
the
film
hope
that
this
amount
would
surely
encourage
the
sport
of
ice
hockey
in
India.
However,
Speedy
Singhs
is
a
Hollywood
movie,
which
is
directed
by
Robert
Lieberman
and
co-produced
by
Akshay
Kumar's
home
production
Hari
Om
Production.
It
is
an
action
packed,
dhamakedar
Punjabi
movie,
set
amongst
the
Indo-Canadian
community
in
suburban
Toronto,
Canada.
The
film
stars
Vinay
Virmani,
Al
Mulkadam,
Camilla
Belle,
Anupam
Kher
and
Russell
Peters.
Speedy
Singhs
revolves
around
Rajveer
Singh,
who
is
raised
in
an
orthodox
Sikh
family.
He
has
only
one
goal
to
succeed
in
the
traditional
white
man's
sport
of
Ice
Hockey.
Conflict
arises
when
his
strict
Punjabi
father
pushes
him
to
be
a
true
Punjab
da
puttar
and
devote
his
life
to
Waheguru
and
their
family
business.
The
film
is
slated
to
release
on
September
23.
