Akshay takes up Patiala House to change image

Action king Akshay Kumar got into comedy roles a few years ago and got stuck in it. He tried to get back to serious and action films but failed terribly. That forced him to take up comedy roles again. But now, he is consciously trying to change his image.

Akshay revealed that he has intentionally taken up serious role, as he has been doing comedy films for the last three years. He said that he accepted his latest film Patiala House of just because it is just the opposite of his real life character.

Patiala House is a family drama with Akshay playing a Sikh being trapped in the patriarchal family system. It features Anushka Sharma in the female lead role. Bhushan Kumar, Mukesh Talreja, Krishan Kumar and Twinkle Khanna co-produce the film and Nikhil Advani directs it.
