Akshay Kumar's protege Vinay Virmani, who is debuting in films, is all set to release his first movie Speedy Singhs, which is the first Indo-Canadian venture. The budding actor says that he is lucky to have the Bollywood star's support and is now hoping to make a career in Hindi cinema.
Vinay Virmani says that he is very lucky to have the support of Akshay, who has been a role model for him. Moreover, he is someone, who understands Hindi commercial cinema that is where Vinay wants to be. The debut actor adds that he always had guests from Bollywood in Toronto and he grew up surrounded by stars. Now, he is hoping for a career in Hindi cinema.
Vinay Virmani is fluent in Punjabi and Hindi. "Bollywood was always on my mind from the time I was a child. Then I sat down to write the story of what eventually became 'Speedy Singhs'. A lot of what you see of the young Punjabi guy's struggle to make a place for himself in the film is taken from my own life," the IBN Live quotes Vinay as saying.
However, Breakaway a.k.a. Speedy Singhs revolves around Ice Hockey and Vinay Virmani is acting alongside Russell Peters, Camilla Belle and Anupam Kher in the movie, which is slated to release on 23rd September. Along with Akshay, Vinay is busy with the promotional activities of the film.
