Bollywood
superstar
Amitabh
Bachchan
is
surely
a
big
name
in
India,
but
he
had
to
learn
teaching
skills
from
Maths
Wizard
and
Super30
founder
Anand
Kumar
–
though
indirectly.
Filmmaker
Prakash
Jha
took
Anand's
help
for
a
teaching
scene
in
his
film
Aarakshan,
which
features
Amitabh
and
Saif
Ali
Khan.
“I
am
really
thankful
to
Anand
Kumar
for
his
sincere
efforts
in
helping
me
to
direct
the
maths
coaching
portion
of
the
film.
Kumar
accepted
with
humility
my
request
to
him
to
come
to
Mumbai
and
coach
me
in
mathematics," Jha
told
PTI.
“It
has
been
an
exciting
experience.
It
becomes
very
easy
for
me
to
direct
Amit
Ji
and
Saif
Ali
Khan
for
the
maths
teaching
scene.
I
am
really
indebted
to
Kumar
for
the
way
he
coached
me,"
he
added.
The
filmmaker
wants
his
actors
to
meet
the
Math
wizard.
“His
inimitable
style
of
teaching
and
grasp
of
the
subject
reminds
me
how
a
learner
learns
the
ABC
of
maths,"
Jha
said,
adding,
“I
am
also
looking
forward
to
a
meeting
between
Kumar
and
the
two
actors
very
soon.
We
will
extend
our
warm
welcome
and
acknowledge
the
endeavour
he
made
for
us
by
sparing
time
from
his
busy
schedule."
Jha
said
that
he
requested
Anand
to
help
him
on
learning
that
he
has
been
selflessly
helping
the
poor
children.
“I
know
him
for
doing
exceedingly
well
for
the
students
from
the
underprivileged
sections
of
society
whom
he
teaches
with
perfection
free
of
cost
without
even
taking
any
charge
for
their
lodging
and
meals,"
he
said.
Anand
in
return
wished
Jha
all
the
success
for
his
film.
The
Math
wizard
set
up
the
Ramanujan
School
of
Mathematics
for
the
poor
children
after
he
failed
to
go
to
Cambridge
University
due
to
financial
constraint.
He
then
set
up
Super
30,
where
he
provides
free
education,
food
and
lodging
to
30
talented
students
from
underprivileged
sections
of
the
society
for
the
IIT-JEE.
236
students
have
qualified
in
the
last
nine
years.
