Desi Boyz is not Garam Masala, says Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar and John Abraham, who would be sharing the screen after a six year hiatus in Desi Boyz said that their forthcoming film Desi Boyz bears no similarity to their previous movie Garam Masala.

Speaking about the movie, Akshay Kumar told reporters, “Many people ask me whether this is Garam Masala Part 2, but I tell them there is no similarity with it. The characters are different in this movie than Garam Masala. In fact, in this movie we also have a message which says wherever you stay never leave your parents and the roots."

John Abraham and Akshay Kumar turned bartenders in a Mumbai club last night as part of their promotional activity for Desi Boyz. The film marks the directorial debut of Rohit Dhawan, David Dhawan's son. Terming Desi Boyz as a 'dramedy' Rohit Dhawan claims that the film breaks the usual norm of Bollywood comedies.

Deepika Padukone and Chitrangada Singh play the female lead roles in Desi Boyz. The film is scheduled to release on November 25.
