Dilip Kumar hospitalized for jaundice

Veteran Dilip Kumar has been admitted in the Breach Candy hospital, South Mumbai. The 90-year-old actor was down with jaundice since a couple of days. He was shifted to the hospital in the morning when his family found that he had stopped reacting to certain medicines.

Yusuf saab's family decided to shift him to the hospital for expert supervision. Doctors assure that he is out of danger and has been admitted in the ICU. The actor has been advised to take proper rest. Wife Saira Banu, is also present in the hospital. A huge crowd of his fans have gathered in front of the hospital, who are praying for his good health.

Dilip Kumar originally known as Yusuf Khan was a celebrated actor during the 80's. The superstar, who was titled as the 'tragedy king' of Bollywood, has been bestowed with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. He was the very first actor who got the Filmfare Best Actor Awards. In 1998 he was awarded the Nishan-e-Pakistan, the highest civilian award conferred by the government of Pakistan.

He is best remembered for films like Andaz (1949), Aan (1952), Devdas (1955), Azaad (1955), Mughal-E-Azam (1960) and Ganga Jamuna(1961). Check the space for more updates.
