Emraan surprised to be offered a rom-com by Madhur

Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi, who has worked in quite a number of flicks like Gangster, Jannat, Once Upon A Time in Mumbai etc. is soon to be seen in a romantic movie by Madhur Bhandarkar titled Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji.

The movie is a rom com and has some of the most hilarious situations imbibed in it with some real life like sequences making it to be a great film that would be an entertainer from the word go. However, what made an actor like Emraan Hashmi pick this genre of films is something which is being asked by most people as Emraan has been known for a completely different genre of films altogether.

According to reports, the actor has expressed his surprise at being chosen by director Madhur Bhandarkar for the rom com. He was certainly amazed to have bagged this offer from the coveted director.

Emraan stated that when he was approached, he had initially thought that the movie would be related to some real life story as Madhur is known to make films based on the stark realities of life. Thus Emraan had thought that he was in for some movie to be based on Bollywood and its harsh realities. But, the actor further stated that he was pleasantly surprised as the movie turned out to be a complete laugh riot with some very romantic sequences between the many protagonists in the film.

The movie has Emraan playing a DJ who sees life, money and love with a completely different perspective. But things change for him as soon as he sets his eyes on Shruti Hasan"s character in the film. The film has other actors like Ajay Devgn, Omi Vaidya, Shahzahn Padamese, Shraddha and others in pivotal roles as well.

The film releases on the 28th of January.
