Gautham Menon back to B-town with Prem Katha

By Ramchander

Gautham Menon is all set to return to Bollywoood after a decade. The director, who gave massive hit movie Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein in 2001, is making his comeback with Prem Katha, a remake of his own Tamil blockbuster Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (VTV).

The filmmaker has roped in Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson to play the lead roles in Prem Katha, which were played by Silambarasan and Trisha Krishnan in VTV. It may be recalled that Trisha was signed to repeat the same role in the Hindi version but she walked out of the movie citing date issues. Later, the British model replaced the Khatta Meeta actress.

The shooting of Prem Katha was kick-started in April in Mumbai. Currently, the team is filming the second schedule in Kerala. Soon, the cast and crew of the film will fly to the United States to shoot some key portions of the film.
