Imran Khan to join cyclothon for animal welfare

Actor Imran Khan will be seen participating in a cyclothon that will take place in Mumbai on April 24. The cylothon will have people from all walks of life and will support the cause of animal welfare.

Imran told to Mid Day, “I am supporting the cause for animal welfare. This year, the cyclothon is pledging support to my cause. I've always cared a lot about animals and take as many in as I can. With this event, I saw an opportunity to do something on a larger scale. I'm glad I can raise awareness and money for a cause that is so close to my heart. With the funds they raise they are planning to set up a helpline and a shelter. You can call in about an animal that is hurt or needs help and they take care of it.

The actor, who is currently shooting in Rajasthan for Mere Brother Ki Dulhan says that he is till trying to convince his producers to let him be in Mumbai for the event. Imran Khan is planning to cycle the entire distance without taking a break. He says that he is physically fit and follows a schedule that keep him active the entire day.

The actor says that he owns a cycle and often cycles as a part of his exercise, therefore participating in a cyclothon will not be difficult for him.
