Actor
Jimmy
Shergill,
who
is
set
to
release
his
upcoming
Hindi
film
Sahib
Biwi
aur
Gangster
this
Friday,
has
produced
a
Punjabi
movie
titled
Dharti
and
tasted
the
success.
Now,
the
Machis
star
wants
to
try
his
hands
on
producing
Bollywood
films
and
he
is
not
bothered
to
rope
in
big
stars.
In
an
interview
with
the
PTI,
Jimmy
Shergill
gushed
on
his
plans
on
producing
Bollywood
films.
The
actor
said,
"I
have
got
seven-eight
scripts
in
hand
and
we
would
zero
down
on
one-two.
There
are
comedy,
thriller,
light-hearted
kind
of
scripts.
I
want
to
make
entertaining
films
for
the
audience...not
documentary
types."
Jimmy
Shergill's
maiden
production
in
Hindi
will
be
made
under
the
banner
of
Jimmy
Shergill
Productions.
"Once
we
lock
the
script
we
would
decide
on
the
actors.
Even
if
big
actors
are
required
I
would
approach
them
and
also
wait
to
get
their
dates,
provided
they
fit
the
bill.
I
don't
know
how
much
time
all
this
will
take," the
PTI
quotes
as
saying.
However,
the
Punjabi
actor
started
his
career
with
the
Hindi
movie
Machis
in
1996
and
later,
he
has
acted
in
several
Bollywood
and
Punjabi
movies.
He
became
producer
with
the
Punjabi
flick
Dharti,
which
was
released
on
April
22
this
year.
His
maiden
film,
which
was
made
with
a
budget
of
Rs
4.2
crore,
has
grossed
Rs
7.5
crore
at
the
Box
Office
and
now
he
aspires
to
try
his
luck
in
B-town.
