Karan Johar to promote British tourism

By Raymond Ronamai

Filmmaker Karan Johar, who has made hit films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and My Name Is Khan, is set to promote British tourism. Britain's national tourism agency 'VisitBritain' has appointed him as the goodwill ambassador of its global campaign 'Britain You're Invited'.

Karan Johar seems to love Britain. He said in a press statement that Britain has a certain soul that cannot be captured by film and one has to be there to experience it. He added that the country has lots for everyone.

Besides Karan Johar, VisitBritain has also named Asian television presenter Asha Gill and equestrian rider Alex Hua Tian as the goodwill ambassadors of the campaign.
