Filmmaker
Madhur
Bhandarkar
has
started
working
on
his
much-talked
about
project,
Heroine
today
(September
22).
The
Bollywood
producer
had
stalled
the
movie
after
actress
Aishwarya
Rai
Bachchan
announced
her
pregnancy.
But
now,
he
has
reopened
the
project
after
Kareena
Kapoor
accepted
to
play
the
lead
role.
On
his
official
Twitter
page,
Madhur
Bhandarkar
shared
his
excitement
about
restarting
the
movie
Heroine.
Meanwhile,
he
also
sought
the
best
wishes
of
his
fans.
The
filmmaker
tweeted,
"HEROINE
is
back
on
track,
pre-production
starts
from
today,
need
your
blessings
&
prayers!!!"
It
should
be
recalled
here
that
Madhur
Bhandarkar
was
initially
keen
on
casting
Kareena
Kapoor.
But
his
wish
was
not
fulfilled
due
to
certain
issues.
He
had
to
be
satisfied
with
the
casting
of
Aishwarya
Rai
Bachchan,
who
later
announced
the
project
at
the
Cannes
Film
Festival
in
May.
Aish
had
also
shot
some
scenes
before
it
was
halted.
