Mallika Sherawat declines White House invitation

Actress Mallika Sherawat has already made it twice to US President Barrack Obama, however for the third one she gives it a miss. The Hisss actress was invited for an exclusive poetry reading session at the Presidential residence in Washington.

Mallika will not be attending the session, despite her love for poetry, because she will be hosting a party for her upcoming film at Cannes on the same date. Mallika believes in professionalism and because this party commitment was decided two months ago, she cannot cancel it at the last moment.

Mallika will be hosting a sunset cocktail party for the film Politics of Love, on Nikki Beach in Cannes. She notes (Mid Day), "It's always a pleasure to meet the most powerful man in the world and it's very special that I was invited amongst the 100 invitees. But since the Cannes commitment was a prior one and the White House invite only came recently, I had to regretfully decline. I sent my apologies. I am looking forward to more invitations from him in the future."
