Mausam signifies different seasons of love; Pankaj

Actor Shahid Kapoor yesterday released the theatrical trailer of his up-coming film Mausam along with his fans. "It is a very emotional moment for the family. It was a special moment for all of us. The film is a love story. It shows different seasons of love and how the two central characters (Shahid and Sonam) go through the situations, Director Pankaj Kapoor told reporters.

Directed by Shahid's father, veteran Pankaj Kapoor, Mausam is a love story starring Shahid and Sonam Kapoor in the lead roles. The film marks as the directorial debut of Pankaj, who has also written the story. "This is a very special moment for all of us, our family Sonam and the producers. It has been quite a journey. I have given a year-and-half of my life for the film. It has been a very emotional moment for all of us. While I was driving from home, I was nervous and my palm was sweaty. I was wondering why I was so nervous. This film just means a lot more to us than being a film," Shahid told.

"I thank everyone who has been part of the film. I thank everybody for believing in the vision of my father and following his footsteps. Beyond that the audience will decide the fate of the film. I am so glad that my fans are here. I am happy to have such lovely fans," he said.

The star cast also includes Anupam Kher and Shahid's step mother Supriya Pathak, who was present at the event. "We all worked hard. Put in efforts and love for this film. It has been wonderful experience to work in this film. I am happy to be part of this film," Sonam expressed.

Earlier in the day, Shahid had tweeted, “Big day ! MAUSAM promotions kicking off what a journey its been Today PVR Juhu 5.30 promo launch. B there :)."

The film Mausam is slated for release on September 16.
