Poonam Pandey is still on with commitments; stay tuned

Now that India won World Cup 2011, the entire world especially India is still wondering that what happened to model Poonam Pandey's 'go nude promise'. All the micro-blogging sites, social network sites and even the news channels are flooded with the same question about model Poonam Pandey.

The most downloaded model Poonam, who has been interacting with the world through her twitter page wrote, “Thanx a Lot All for ur Support!! I am Still on with My Commitments Stay TUNED." Poonam, who had committed to go nude for the Indian Cricket Team if they win the World Cup 2011, has written a letter to the BCCI seeking the permission from them to fulfill her promise to India.

Poonam wrote, "...I want India to win the Cricket World Cup 2011 and am willing to go the extra mile to do anything so that India wins the World Cup. I am a model and actress and have decided to do what I can for India !! I am ready and willing at any place and time of the Indian teams choosing to go in the nude to boost their sporting spirit to perform better."

She further added, "This shall be a private therapeutic performance -with a psychologist's presence and hence cannot be an offence under any law for the time being in force if the team members have no objection and the BCCI gives the go ahead."

Explaining the affect of such an act on human mind, Poonam wrote, "Many studies conducted by various universities abroad which confirms and infers that such performances/expectations boost and inspire people to perform better in any field, be it sports or otherwise. Even medical books on psychology and psychiatry confirms this."

The model continued in the letter seeking for the permission of the BCCI and requesting to allow her fulfill her promise, “It is therefore my humble request to you to allow me to perform in the privacy of the Indian Cricket team's dressing room or any other place of your choosing.(YOU MAY ALSO CHOOSE A FOREIGN LAND LIKE PARIS IN FRANCE, SO THAT THE LAWS OF INDIA - IF A HINDRANCE , SHALL NOT APPLY.)"

Poonam, whjo overnight became a celebrated topic in India says that she has got overwhelming support from her family and Indian citizens. She says that her parents have been encouraging her for such a decision and are proud of her way to motivate the Indian team.

It is also reported that after Poonam made her promise to bare it all for the Indian cricket team if they win World Cup, she has been getting lucrative offers from top international magazines that want her to pose naked, however the model has rejected all the offers saying that she will only strip for the Indian team.

Poonam Pandey gets under legal issues

While, everyone including Poonam is waiting for the BCCI decision, here comes one more hindrance on her way to fulfill her promise to the Indian Cricket Team. Reportedly, Poonam Pandey has been dragged to Court in Bhopal by a lawyer accusing her of depicting Brahmins in poor light. (Poonam Pandey is a Brahmin by community)

The lawyer is of the view that even if Poonam does not run naked, she should be punished by the court as she has given a wrong impression of the (Brahmin) community and has insulted the Indian culture. The case will be heard on April 5.
