RGV drops Abhishek, ropes in Rana for Department

Ram Gopal Varma has dropped Abhishek Bachchan and replaced him with Rana Daggubatti for his upcoming Bollywood film Department. The director has said that due to date issues, he was forced to replace Abhishek with Rana for his forthcoming film.

Varma took twitter to announce the news. He tweeted ,“ Due to date prblms to match combinations wth othr actors I am going ahead wth Rana daggubati instead of Abhishek Bachchan in Department."

Rana Daggubatti, who made his Bollywood debut with Rohan Sippy's recent release Dum Maaro Dum (DMD), will be playing the role of a cop in Department. It is said that Abhishek Bachchan has liked the script but could not approve the project, as he has committed for Ladies and Gentlemen, Bol Bachchan and Dhoom 3.

Department also features Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Kangana Ranaut in the leads. The movie is expected to hit the floors soon.
