Rockstar director pays last tribute to Bhupen Hazarika

Rockstar director Imtiaz Ali, who has been a great fan of Late Bhupen Hazarika, has termed the legendary singer's death as a great loss for the music world.

"I was flying from Dubai and I just happened to hear his song "Dil hoom hoom kare" on the radio and was extremely moved," Ali told Mid Day.

“I didn't know that he is no more. His voice was so soothing. It's the kind of simplicity that one achieves after going through highs and lows in life," he said.

Bhupen Hazarika, who died of multi-organ failure on 5 November, 2011, was a popular singer, composer, lyricist, music director and filmmaker from Assam.
