Shahrukh to attend, Salman to skip IIFA Awards

While superstar Shahrukh Khan confirms his visit to Indian International Film Academy Awards (IIFA Awards) despite his knee injury, Salman Khan has decided to give it a miss. Even though his first production Chillar Party will have its world premier at the IIFA Awards event, Salman has planned to skip the celebration.

Salman has decided on missing the show as he is busy with the shooting of his film Bodyguard. Travelling to Canada will delay the schedules of the on-going shoot of Bodyguard. The film is scheduled for an Eid release and therefore to meet the deadlines is a sheer priority for Salman.

The actor however was very excited about the screening of Chillar Party at IIFA Awards. Salman told IANS, “Chillar Party is very close to my heart, the concept appealed to me and the children's performances were endearing. This is the first film under SKBH (Salman Khan Being Human) Productions and we felt there was no better place to screen the movie than at the IIFA film festival. For me, IIFA is home-grounds and it can't get bigger than IIFA in Toronto."

We are sure Salman's fans will be very disappointed on missing the chance of seeing him at the IIFA Awards night.
