Shahrukh Khan's Chammak Challo pushes him to legal trap

Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan was slammed by Kerala's legal Gods after they alleged that the actor violated provisions of Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act 1986.

The Kochi police have registered a case against Shahrukh for violating the Act. Shahrukh, who was in Kerala on December 4 in connection with the inauguration of the showroom had performed the popular number 'Chamak Challo' from his recently released movie Ra.One, along with some skimpily clad artistes.

Police said the cases have been registered against Shahrukh and partners of a textile showroom, who organised the function, under sect 3, 6 of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) act 1986 and under IPC sections 294 (obscene acts and songs), and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention).
