The entire world speculated on Shahrukh Khan missing the 12th International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA Awards) because of his knee injury, however the superstar is in no mood to miss the starry night in Toronto, Canada.
"Nursing knee injury to get ready for iifa. wish toronto was closer to bandra. shiamk team making the dance steps easier for me...," Shahrukh posted on micro-blogging site Twitter. There were reports that Shahrukh may skip the awards ceremony starting from June 23 due to his knee injury.
Reportedly IIFA awards night will also see performances by the Deol family, Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby. Actresses Priyanka Chopra, Dia Mirza, Mallika Sherawat, Neha Dhupia and the entire cast of the film Double Dhamaal will also be seen shaking their legs on the stage. The film Double Dhamaal, a sequel to 2007 movie, Dhamaal, starring Riteish Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Kangana Ranaut, Mallika Sherawat, Arshad Warsi, Jaaved Jaaferi and Aashish Chaudhary, will be premiered at the IIFA Awards event.
Apart from all the Bollywood blings one of the major highlight of the IIFA Awards will be Jermaine Jackson, elder brother of King of Pop Michael Jackson, who will team up with Sonu Nigam to pay a tribute to his brother late MJ.
IIFA Awards will be hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar and actress Anushka Sharma.
