Shahrukh
Khan's
much
awaited
superhero
movie
Ra.One
seems
to
lose
it's
steam
in
the
end
of
it's
first
week.
Ra.One,
released
on
26th
October,
made
quite
a
decent
start.
Though
it
made
a
good
Box
office
collection
in
it's
first
weekend,
beating
rival
Salman
Khan's
Bodyguard,
it
somehow
fell
flat
in
the
second
week.
The
film's
sudden
downfall
was
evident
after
the
theatres
were
seen
running
out
of
audience.
According
to
an
official
and
independent
distributor,
the
occupancy
on
Sunday
was
about
40
per
cent,
and
Monday
was
about
20
per
cent.
The
film
received
a
mixed
response,
while
a
part
of
audience
were
overwhelmed
to
witness
their
Baadshah
Shahrukh
Khan
in
a
new
avatar,
while
the
others
were
simply
disappointed.
A
senior
executive
of
a
leading
multiplex
informed
Business
Standard,
“The
occupancy
started
dropping
since
Sunday.
The
weekday
occupancies
for
Ra.One
are
much
lower
than
it
was
for
Bodyguard.
The
film
started
off
very
well
due
to
the
curiosity
factor,
with
virtually
packed
houses,
but
couldn"t
even
sustain
over
the
weekend".
Ra.One
marketers
did
a
brilliant
job
by
shelling
out
huge
amount
for
the
film.
Shahrukh
Khan,
who
considered
the
film
as
his
most
ambitious
project,
worked
extra
mile
to
make
the
film
a
success.
But,
the
audience
response
of
the
running
week
seems
to
disappoint
Shahrukh.
