Shamita Shetty quits Bollywood

While actress Shilpa Shetty has voluntarily taken a sabbatical from Bollywood to enjoy her present role as a house maker, her sister cum actress Shamita Shetty calls it a quit in Bollywood. Shamita, who failed to get a foothold in B-town, plans to move on with an alternative career.

Shilpa informs (Mid Day), "Shamita is now entering another phase in her life and career. She is now heading to London for a six-month course in interior designing. We all felt this was the right move for her to make."

Talking about her return to Bollywood, Shilpa says that at the moment she is satisfactorily playing the role of a housewife. “Right now I find the idea of looking after my home far more exciting and challenging than rushing off to studios early morning," expresses Shilpa.

Looking at the running trends in Bollywood, except for both Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, none of the star-siblings have made it big in Bollywood.
