Though
his
directorial
debut
Jaan-E-Mann
bombed
at
the
box
office,
director
Shirish
Kunder,
who
is
working
on
his
forthcoming
3D
adventure
film
Joker,
remains
unfazed
and
says
he
will
not
hard
sell
his
movie
but
will
instead
employ
the
marketing
fundas
used
by
Aamir
Khan.
Joker
is
a
fantasy-adventure
film
made
in
3D
format
in
Hindi,
and
stars
Akshay
Kumar,
Sonakshi,
Shreyas
Talpade
and
Minnisha
Lamba
in
pivotal
roles.
Talking
to
PTI,
Shirish
Kunder
said,
"I
do
not
believe
in
marketing
and
publising,
when
the
first
trailer
comes
if
people
like
it
they
will
watch
it.
I
do
not
believe
in
shouting
from
roof
top
and
saying
watch
my
film...watch
my
film.
I
find
it
hard
selling
a
film.
I
feel
it
is
like
begging.
I
am
not
going
to
hard
sell
this
film."
The
Bollywood
director
added,
"When
we
start
marketing
the
film,
it
will
not
be
a
PR
thing,
we
will
highlight
plus
points.
I
do
not
believe
in
giving
interviews,
talking
about
personal
life.
I
don't
want
people
to
watch
film
because
of
anyone's
personal
life.
Like
how
Aamir
markets
the
film,
its
plus
points,
good
things,
something
like
that."
The
movie
is
scheduled
for
a
August
release
this
year
with
Salman
Khan-Katrina
Kaif
starrer
Ek
Tha
Tiger
and
Akshay
Kumar
starrer
Once
Upon
A
Time
In
Mumbai
2
also
hitting
the
screens
same
month.
"August
31
is
locked
and
there
are
big
releases
lined
up.
Two
weeks
before,
Ek
Tha
Tiger
is
coming,
we
can't
do
anything.
If
people
like
it
they
will
come
and
watch
it," Shirish
said.
Ask
him
about
the
competition
he
says,
"I
cannot
do
anything
about
it.
I
believe
in..make
your
best
and
leave
it
to
the
audience.
I
don't
bother
about
publicising
and
all...I
don't
think
it
is
in
my
territory."
