for

Dadasaheb
Phakle
Academy
Awards.
While
Shatru
will
be
honoured
with
Dadasaheb
Phalke
Academy
legendry
artiste
award,
Sonakshi
will
sweep
away
Dadasaheb
Phalke
Academy
best
debut
award.
This
starry
event
will
be
held
on
May
3,
wherein
all
the
most
deserved
celebrities
of
Indian
film
industry
will
be
bestowed
with
Dadasaheb
Phalke
Academy
awards.
Filmmaker
Pahlaj
Nihlani,
who
is
one
of
the
trustees
of
the
academy
informs,
“Shatrughan
Sinha
has
been
chosen
for
the
award
in
recognition
of
his
long
innings
in
the
film
world
and
an
equally
successful
run
in
politics."
The
birth
anniversary
of
Dadasaheb,
a
dignitary
of
the
Indian
film
industry
is
celebrated
on
30th
April.
This
award
recognises
the
old
and
new
talents
in
the
industry.
Shatrugan
is
still
remembered
for
his
roles
in
films
like,
Kalicharan,
Dostana,
Kala
Pathar,
Naseeb,
etc.
He
was
last
seen
portraying
the
role
of
NT
Rama
Rao,
former
Chief
Minister
of
Andhra
Pradesh
Chief,
in
Ram
Gopal
Varma's
Rakta
Charitra.
Apart
from
his
strong
performances
in
films,
Shatrugan
also
has
a
strong
hold
in
politics.
He
is
presently
the
member
of
Lok
Sabha
from
Patna
Saheb
constituency
in
Bihar.
His
daughter
Sonakshi
(23-years-old)
came
to
limelight
with
her
debut
film
Dabangg,
which
turned
out
to
be
a
money
spinner
for
the
filmmakers.

Sonakshi
stars
opposite

star
Salman
Khan.
